Benelli starts Tornado 302 unofficial bookings, here is the booking amount you need to pay!

Benelli dealerships around India has started accepting bookings for the upcoming Benelli Tornado 302. The token amount varying from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 is acceptable for the booking of the upcoming Tornado 302 depending on the dealership. The bike showcased at the 2016 Autoexp last year and has created ripples due to its fully faired alluring looks.
On the inside, it is based on the same engine unit that powers the Benelli TNT 300 which is a 2-cylinder liquid-cooled engine and is famous for its ghastly exhaust tone. It delivers the power output of 36bhp and 27Nm torque. This 300cc power mill comes mated to the 6-speed manual transmission and is considered to be a super smooth unit. Benelli-TNT-300-Action-98014

Benelli TNT Tornado 302 launch in India?
The bike is expected to hit the market by June end of July 1st week and when launched it is expected to be priced at around Rs 3.7 lakh. At this price it will be a direct competitor to the Kawasaki Ninja 300, Yamaha R3 and the new KTM RC 390. At this output it remains less powerful to not the R3 and RC390 which tops at around 42bhp. While sharing similar power bracket with the Kawasaki Ninja 300.

The legendary Italian automaker, Benelli introduced a slew of new models for the Indian markets at the Autoexpo this year. Among the new models, Trk 502 and Tornado 302R were the most talked about models at the Benelli stand.


Good news is that the company is getting geared up to launch the fully faired Tornado 302R in January next year. The reason behind the delayed launch is that the models are still pending to get clearance from ARAI.


  • Engine specs?

It will be powered by the twin-cylinder 300cc liquid-cooled engine churning out 36bhp of maximum power at 10,000rpm and 27.4Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. It is the same engine as seen on the TNT 300 Naked.


  • What about the price point?

We expect that the Tornado 302 will be priced somewhere around Rs 3.50 lakh.

  • Closest competitors?

There are a couple of competitors to the Tornado 302 already present in the segment. Motorcycles like KTM RC 390, Yamaha YZF-R3 and Ninja 300, are all set lock horns against the newest faired Italian in the segment.
