The Japanese motorcycle maker Suzuki is planning to launch another motorcycle in the Indian market, this time it will be an Adventure Touring bike instead of a Street Naked. The company launched the GSX-S750 few days back, and now the company is gearing up for the launch of the V-Strom 650.
Suzuki V-Strom 650 Competitors
The new V-Strom 650 will be a direct rival of the Kawasaki Versys 650, and is expected to be priced neck to neck against its Japanese counter rival. Both the bikes are majorly famous for their adventure touring capabilities.
Suzuki V-Strom 650 Engine and Specifications
The bike runs on a 645cc V-twin that churns out close to 71hp at 8,800 rpm and 62Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike gets V-Twin configuration engine unlike the Kawasaki Versys 650 which runs on a parallel-twin engine. Also, this bike will feature a number of high-end electronics and features such as 3-stage traction control system on the XT variant. Other features include 3-way height adjustable windscreen, Suzuki’s useful Easy Start System and standard ABS on both the versions.
Suzuki V-Strom 650 Variants
In the international motorcycle market, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 is offered in two different variants including the standard V-Strom and off-road-specific V-Strom XT which as the name suggest focuses majorly on the off-road riding.
Suzuki V-Strom 650 Launch date
The company is planning to launch the same in the Indian motorcycle market by somewhere around 2nd week of July this year. The final launch date of V-Strom 650 has not been confirmed yet.
Suzuki V-Strom 650 Expected Price
The bike is expected to be launched somewhere around in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. Which will make it a direct competition to the Kawasaki Versys 650.
