Good days are here folks. The green machine maker, Kawasaki has just launched the KX100 and KX250F Motocross Race Bikes in the country. The price on these ultimate off-roading machines starts from Rs 4.69 lakh for the KX100 and Rs 7.14 lakh for the KX250F. As per reports, the bikes will be brought in via CBU (completely built unit) route.
Talking of the KX100, the bike will be one of the first choices for ones entering in the world of off-roading. The bike gets looks of a bigger bike in the KX family. It houses a 99cc two-stroke engine that comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike is built around a high-tensile steel perimeter design subframe. It utilizes 70/100-19 tyre upfront and 90/100-16 tyre at the rear. On the suspension front, 36mm inverted telescopic cartridge fork does the duty under the front beak while Uni-Trak single shock system with 24-way compression and 21-way rebound damping plus adjustable spring preload does the duty at the back.
The KX250F gets a 4-stroke 250cc 1-cylinder, DOHC, water-cooled engine mated to a 5-speed transmission. It comes with 48mm inverted Showa SFF front telescopic forks and Uni-Trak linkage system and Showa shock at the back.
These bikes sure are on the higher side when it comes to price but talk about their off-road capabilities and you will find nothing better. Since, KTM or Honda doesn’t have any off-road bike in India, it looks like this KX bike will enjoy the advantage of being the only bikes in the segment for a long long time.
