Yamaha FZ25 spotted getting tested, to launch by mid 2017

Yamaha Motor India has been testing a completely new bike on the roads these days which appears to be the higher cc bike in the FZ family. The company currently sells only the FZ16 in the Indian market which comes in quite a number of variants but all of them comprises of the same 150cc engine. Ever since its launch, the bike has received zero engine upgrades and the newly spied bike gives an impression of being the new 250cc FZ, the FZ 25.

The pictures suggest the engine will be an air-cooled unit. What’s also missing on the bike is an ABS unit on the either ends. It will have Bybre disc brakes and a full-digital meter console. At the front, it features conventional telescopic forks and not the USD fork. At the back, it has a single mono shock for the rear suspension duties. The exhaust assembly looks similar to the one seen on the FZ16 bikes.

While the tank panel styling and other design lines are way more aggressive and fresh. At the front, the head light has been designed taking styling cues from the Yamaha M-Slaz bike.

Yamaha FZ25 engine and specs

The bike is expected to carry a new 250cc air-cooled engine that will not share any platform with the existing Yamaha engines. The unit is expected to churn out at least 25 to 27bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of around 19Nm.

Yamaha FZ25 mileage

The bike is expected to deliver around 32-35km/lt of mileage.

Yamaha FZ25 expected launch date
