Looks like the Japanese automaker, Kawasaki is all set to step up the retro game in India with the launch of the Kawasaki W800 bike. The classic retro bike from the Japanese motorcycle builder has been spotted at a display in an India Kawasaki dealership indicating that the bike will be launched soon in the Indian auto market.

The bike utilizes a 773cc Twin cylinder, four-stroke engine that churns out 48bhp of maximum power at 6,500rpm and 60Nm of peak torque kicks in from as low as 2,500 rpm. The engine has a fuel Injection system with 34 mm x 2 with sub-throttles. The transmission duties on the bike are performed by a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The bike has been equipped with a single disc, twin-piston brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. The suspension duties at the front are performed by 39 mm telescopic fork while Twin shocks sit at the rear. The body is housed around a Double-cradle, high-tensile steel frame for superior rigidity and handling.

The bike will compete against Triumph Street Twin and Ducati Scrambler and so it should be priced somewhere in the range of Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 6.2 Lakh.

There is no such official confirmation for the launch but the bike can be expected to make it to the market by mid-2017.
The photographs were taken on an Indian Kawasaki dealership indicating that the company is all set to foray into retro segment against companies such Triumph, Harley, and Ducati.
