The green machine maker has finally pulled covers off its small segment adventure bike, the Versys X-300. The bike has been unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan and the good news is that it will be heading to the Indian motorcycle market soon.
As expected, the bike gets the same 300cc twin-cylinder engine unit as also seen on the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the engine in talks is the 296 cc four-stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 39 PS of maximum power and 27 Nm of peak torque. The engine as on Ninja 300 will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox but gear ratios will be adjusted taking care of bike’s adventure needs.
The bike has been designed keeping the original Versys theme in mind and clearly displays that it carries major design cues from the Versys 100 and Versys 650. The bike gets spoke wheels, high raised handle-bar, long elongated seat, windshield and high ground clearance that makes it a slush friendly machine. Stay tuned to Autocargurus for more auto updates.
