KTM has unveiled the new generation 390 Duke wrapped in an all new design, technology and mechanicals. The new 390 Duke has been upgraded with a brand new design based on the big daddy 1290 Super Duke. Apart from the design, the bike gets a bunch of new electronics features like a ride-by-wire throttle body, new riding modes, multifunctional dashboard with color TFT display and also optional KTM MY RIDE (hands-free kit and audio player).
The bike has also been mechanically updated in terms of new making the bike Euro-4 compliant. The underbelly exhaust unit has been chucked and a new side-mounted exhaust unit has been added. The bike now gets a redesigned body work, new rider and passenger seats, bigger 13.4l fuel tank and LED headlight and LED daytime running lights.
Other updates on the new 390 Duke include:
- Adjustable hand levers,
- power restriction for A2 license (optional),
- bigger 320 mm front brake disc,
- New rear subframe bolted on to the ultralight trellis frame.
- New 43 mm open-cartridge front forks developed by WP Suspension.
2017 KTM 390 Duke engine and specs
The bike runs on the same 373.2cc DOHC single-cylinder engine. What’s new in the engine is that it now has a 3-way catalytic converter and balancer shaft for a smoother ride, also it has a ride-by-ride throttle. The engine churns out 44hp of power and is Euro-4 compliant.
