A few days back, TMCBlog, an Indonesian website confirmed that Kawasaki is looking ahead to introduce an all-new entry-level adventure tourer in the form of Versys 250. The good news is that same could be heading to the Indian market as the Japanese automaker has imported two new bikes to the Indian shores by the codename LE250B and LE250C. The TMCblog also managed to decode the name LE650C which came out to be the new Versys 650. And hence indicating the imported LE250C can be Versys 250.
Indian motorcycle market is spreading its wings as the automakers have started experimenting in the different segments in India. Manufacturers like Royal Enfield have also launched an all adventure dedicated bike in form of Himlayan, while other manufacturers like BMW, KTM, and Suzuki are planning to launch similar products in the future.
Talking about the bike, it clearly borrows design cues from the bigger Versys motorcycles and is bolted around a diamond framework for better stability on rugged conditions. The bike receives USD forks at the front. The bike have been given 249cc, twin-cylinder, 8-Valve engine delivering 32bhp of maximum power and 21Nm of peak torque, the same 250cc engine also powers motorcycles like Ninja 250R and Z250, from Kawasaki.
The bike will face competition motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Himalayan, upcoming KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming BMW GS 310.
