The Japanese automaker will be launching its highly awaited SUV, the all new Toyota Fortuner on 7th November 2016. The company has recently showcased a glimpse of the same in a teaser image recently released by Toyota.
The car will be based on the same IMP-International Multi-Purpose Platform that is seen under the Innova Crysta as well. The all new Toyota Fortuner is 90mm longer and 15mm wider than the Innova Crysta. On the other hand wheelbase of 2740 mm is same as seen Innova Crysta.
Features on the new Fortuner:
- LED DRLs,
- projector headlamps,
- LED tail lights,
- 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system,
- reverse camera,
- electrically adjustable driver’s seat,
- engine start-stoop button,
- Traction Control system,
- Downhill Assist button, and
- Three driving modes- Power, Eco, and Pro.
It will house 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre GDI diesel engines which are also seen on the Innova Crysta. The 2.8-litre engine will come mated only to the 6-speed AMT transmission while the 2.4-litre engine will be available with 6-speed manual transmission. 4WD will be optional on both the models.
Expect it to fall into a range of Rs 33 lakh to Rs 40 lakh.
