The Japanese motorcycle maker Kawasaki has recently unveiled many new models for the year 2017 including the all new Ninja 650, Z650 and Z900. Now the green machine maker has pulled the clothes from the new Z1000 ‘R’ edition. The bike has been given higher-spec brakes, suspension and new colour scheme.
The Z1000 ‘R’ edition gets high-spec Brembo M50 calipers biting 310mm floating front discs paired with stainless steel braded hoses. While on the suspension part it is now equipped with Öhlins S46DR1S rear shock with a remote pre-load adjuster on which Kawasaki has revised fork settings for a ‘more refined and responsive’ handling.
Apart from the above upgrades, the bike’s 1043cc in-line-four cylinder engine is now compliant with latest Euro4 emission norms and has also received revised ECU settings that helps in squeezing out a ‘smoother power delivery’.
The bike also gets an adjustable shift-up light at the rev counter and has been given a brand new ‘Metallic Graphite Grey’ and ‘Metallic Spark Black’ colour schemes, which are available for the base model. The bike is also available in in ‘Golden Blazed Green as well as Candy Burnt Orange and Flat Ebony’ colours.
The bike’s price is yet to be announced and will be revealed on 18th October at Motorcycle Live show at Birmingham’s NEC.
