Marc Marquez clinches his 3rd MotoGP title at Motegi

The young gun, Marc Marquez has done is again. The Spaniard, #93 has clinched his 3rd MotoGP title with victory in Japan, while Rossi and Lorenzo crashed out in the Motegi GP.

The 23-year-old Spanish champion finished the 24 lap race in 42’’34.610’, followed by Ducati’s Andrea Dovizioso who finished after 2.992seconds after Marquez. Maverick Vinales of Suzuki came charging at 3rd position as both Rossi and Lorenzo crashed out of the Japanese GP.


“Obviously, amazing… Amazing feeling,” Marquez said immediately after his victory with a big smile, his face red with excitement.

“It was difficult to concentrate,” after Rossi and Lorenzo crashed out, he said. “Really happy. Really happy with my team.”


After starting from second on the grid, behind Rossi, Marquez took the first corner but was swiped again to second by Lorenzo immediately. Lorenzo headed the GP in the initial phase as both Rossi and Marquez kept fighting for the second position.

Right after the fourth lap Marquez came charging for the 1st position and overtook #99. From then the Spaniard kept on expanding the gap with the rest of the racers.

At the later stage (20th lap), Rossi slipped at a hairpin bend on turn 10 while Lorenzo crashed a few minutes later, sending Marquez to the stunning victory.
